Yes. You can create an account, prepare a tournament or league, publish a public page and use live scoring without providing a credit card. Optional services may be added later, but the capabilities presented on this page are available free when you get started.

No. Volley Live works directly in a modern web browser on phones, tablets and computers. Organizers, scorekeepers, teams and spectators simply open a link. This makes it easy to share an event through a QR code, email or messaging without requiring a download.

No. A public event page can be viewed without an account. Spectators can find the schedule, their team, the next court, results, standings and brackets. Only organizers and people authorized to manage or score an event need access credentials.

Yes. An organizer can move matches and complete or regenerate part of the schedule as needed. Changes then appear on the public page. Volley Live clearly separates actions that preserve existing matches from actions that replace a schedule to help reduce mistakes.

Yes. Tournaments cover teams, divisions, pools, courts, schedules, standings and brackets. Leagues add seasons, recurring match nights, attendance, substitutes and cumulative standings. Each format includes a public page designed for participants and spectators.

Yes. Depending on the format, teams can be ranked by wins or sets won, with tiebreakers such as set ratio, point ratio or head-to-head results. The same rules feed organizer and public views so standings remain consistent.

A scorekeeper opens the match on a phone, enters each set score and finalizes the result. Volley Live saves changes and updates results, standings and brackets. An authorized person can correct a mistake, after which the winner and statistics are recalculated.

Volley Live saves scores regularly when a connection is available and shows the save status. If the network drops, keep the page open and confirm the save after reconnecting before leaving. The platform does not currently promise a complete offline mode.

An organization can enable voluntary contributions on its events. For each contribution, 70% of the amount is paid to the organization; the remaining 30% covers Stripe fees and supports the development of Volley Live. On $10, this represents $7 for the organization and $3 for fees and the platform. Contributions remain entirely optional.

No. Payments are processed by Stripe, which handles card information and payouts to the connected organization. Volley Live does not store card numbers. Stripe may provide a payment receipt, but it is not automatically a charitable tax receipt.

You can add teams manually, then review their names, divisions and pools before generating the schedule and publishing the participant-facing page. You can also automatically generate “team slots” to plan your tournament; these slots will then be claimed by real teams as they register for the tournament.

Stripe is a globally recognized company specializing in secure online payment processing. It acts like a payment terminal: it processes your contribution, protects your payment data and automatically routes the funds. Volley Live neither sees nor stores your card number. Transactions are protected according to payment industry security standards.

From your organization dashboard, enable Voluntary contributions. During the first activation, Stripe will guide you through creating or connecting your account, confirming the organization’s information and adding the bank account where funds will be deposited. Once the setup is approved, you can enable contributions on your events and receive them directly through your Stripe account. This Stripe setup is required only once.
